HAWAIIAN ENERGETICS

Hawaiian Energetics is a healing modality that utilizes the resources of the world around us, through the elements (fire, water, air, earth and mana), and through a healthy relationship with our communities and with the natural world. It's origins are in the ancient healing teachings of the medical kahuna of Hawaii. My teacher, Kahu O Mana Ed Kaleolani Spencer,RN, was trained by a traditional kahuna, Nelita Cook Anderson, who passed her lineage on to him. He teaches this lineage in the old ways from centers in Chicago, San Diego and the Big Island of Hawaii.

As an apprentice in this work, and his student for ten years, I have his permission and guidance to offer treatments. Because I am not native to Hawaii, I will never be a kahuna, even if I were to achieve that level of skill, out of respect for the traditional culture of Hawaii. However, I have been able to support deep healing for clients with physical, emotional and spiritual conditions that had not been helped with conventional medicine and therapy, including: chronic immune disorders, PTSD, hysterectomy symptoms, herniated disc pain, disabling lack of confidence and ADD.

Hawaiian Energetics is also a meditation and spiritual practice for me. As I learn to connect more deeply to the natural world, and find my kuleane, the gifts I bring to my work in the world, I have increased my ability to hold a deep and sustainable healing and learning space for the StoryweavingTM process.

My commitment to living the principles of Hawaiian Energetics extends to my environmental activism and volunteer work on the Board of Kaleolani's non-profit organization, 'Uhanepalekana, or Souls Without Danger.
